Executive Director Appointed
Emporia, KS – The KS 911 Coordinating Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Sherry Massey as the new Executive Director of the KS 911 Board. With a career spanning over 27 years, Sherry brings a wealth of experience in Next Generation 911 (NextGen 911), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and extensive operational and administrative expertise at local, state, and national levels.
Sherry’s deep understanding of NextGen 911 technology and GIS will be instrumental in advancing the State 911 Board’s mission to enhance emergency response systems. Her leadership in various capacities has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation and excellence in public safety communications.

In her new role, Sherry will oversee the implementation of cutting-edge 911 technologies, ensuring that the state’s emergency response infrastructure remains robust and responsive to the needs of its citizens, as well as the development of a new state agency.
